For Eystin Salum, the football field has been a place to compete at a high level, connect with people and build a life far from where he started.

What began as an opportunity to play American football overseas grew into multiple seasons in Italy and meaningful relationships with teammates, fans and communities across the country. His impact is not limited to the score: people repeatedly describe the way he carries himself, how he leads and how enjoyable he is to be around.

But sport is only one dimension of Eystin. He is funny without trying, comfortable in his own skin, a writer of poetry, a student of martial-arts philosophy and a practitioner of Tai Chi. He values stillness and self-knowledge while continuing to pursue physical excellence, with a new ambition to play professional golf after football. His experiences living abroad, competing, creating and spending life alongside his best friend & partner Micah give him material for a creator identity that can grow through multiple chapters, not just expire when a season ends.
