When Micah was laid off from a six-figure creative role, she and her longtime partner Eystin took a chance that didn't look much like a conventional plan: four months in Italy for his American football career. His performance, reputation and their willingness to keep taking opportunities turned that temporary chapter into four years of building a life overseas. Along the way came incredible places, great food, friendships, work and some considerably less glamorous realities.

Their relationship is unusually easy to watch because the friendship is real. They're both magnetic, social, competitive, philosophical and funny, often without needing to say much at all. Their reactions, rival opinions and shared curiosity turn even a simple outing into a story. Football is one part of their world, alongside cooking, recovery rituals, golf, hospitality, traveling, meeting people and chasing new experiences. Neither claims life overseas is one endless vacation. Their approach is to make the most of wherever they find themselves, while continuing to build a life on their own terms.
